Workshops Infant Massage Bring your baby and join our certified massage therapist to learn the specialized techniques of infant massage. Use of infant massage: • Relaxes your infant, lessening tension, fussiness and irritability • Decreases symptoms of colic and aids in digestion, which can provide relief from gas and colic • Aids in growth and development, promoting increased weight gain and a stronger immune function for both the full-term and premature infant • Promotes communication and bonding while increasing your confidence in parenting • Helps your baby sleep longer and sounder Cost: $60.00 for two sessions that last one hour each Pre-registration is required and space is limited Baby Signs® Join the thousands of families who already have discovered the magic of this revolutionary way to talk with babies before they can talk. This workshop is specially designed for parents of children from birth to 24 months and will teach you all you need to know to begin using Baby Signs® at home. Two decades of research have proven that using Baby Signs®: • Strengthens the parent-infant bond • Jumpstarts intellectual development and promotes positive emotional development • Helps babies learn to talk • Reduces frustration and builds trust • Boosts babies’ self-confidence and allows them to share their worlds Cost: $75.00 (plus $10 extra for dad or a grandparent to attend) for a series of six classes Pre-registration is required Support Groups The Pump Connection’s support groups offer a warm, nurturing atmosphere where new mothers can meet other new mothers and share the common questions, concerns, joys, frustrations and adventures of motherhood. Facilitated by a Lactation Consultant, common topics discussed include milk expression, frequency of feedings, infants’ sleep habits, and a wide range of parenting issues.
