In addition to counseling thousands of breastfeeding mothers, she has trained and mentored the next generation of lactation consultants, serving as clinical supervisor and lecturer for the UCLA Lactation Consultant Training Program. Diversely skilled, Binky not only assists mothers at The Pump Connection office, but also works as a hospital lactation consultant at Encino-Tarzana Regional Medical Center in postpartum and the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. For more than 20 years she has set the standard for private lactation practitioners and has become synonymous with successful breastfeeding – even using her sign language fluency to work with deaf and hearing-impaired new mothers. A popular speaker at conferences for lactation consultants, nurses and physicians, Binky is also a researcher who has published her groundbreaking findings in professional journals. Binky has been featured in newspaper articles, parenting magazines, and on radio and television, and is (of course) a proud mom of three sons! In addition, Cindee teaches microbiology at the college level. She is highly skilled in managing common and high-risk breastfeeding problems with babies in both early and late infancy. Cindee is a mother of two. Lauren O’Neil, BS, IBCLC Bachelor of Science Degree International Board Certified Lactation Consultant Lauren came to The Pump Connection after working as the sole lactation consultant at Ventura County Medical Center. We are fortunate to have her. Lauren had her first baby early in 2004, and is now working part-time. She is known for her sweet, gentle nature, and for her proficiency in calming infants. Lauren specializes in assisting mothers with postpartum difficulties following discharge.
