Consultations Our one-hour consultations take place at The Pump Connection or in the privacy of your home. During the consultation one of our highly trained lactation consultants: • Takes your complete history, • Weighs your baby, and • Offers advice to remedy any breastfeeding problems, including latch-on problems, sore nipples, low milk supply and inadequate weight gain by your infant. Your lactation consultant also will closely monitor your progress and follow up as long as is needed. She also communicates The Pump Connection’s assessment and strategy to your physician and closely coordinates the “team effort” for you.
